2021 Sauvignon Blanc Fumé
Description
Elegant, very finely woven Sauvignon Blanc Fumé from slate (from the Oberemmeler Altenberg location). Through spontaneous fermentation in small wooden barrels, the wine develops a strong body and full-bodied creaminess. The aromas typical of the grape variety are combined in a reserved manner. The smoky fumé note resonates and completes this Sauvignon Blanc into a complex and multi-layered enjoyment. You would never believe that the wine has a slim 10.5% alcohol, it tastes so full-bodied.
Tastes best with:
Oysters and other raw and marinated seafood, sushi, goat cheese, asparagus, raw vegetable salad, sea fish, river fish, white meat
Awards
90 points Savoir Vivre (Big Gold), 89 points Falstaff, 87 points Eichelmann

We work sustainably in the vineyard and cellar. This will need time. The youngest vintage matures in the bottle for at least 1 year - take the older ones.
Open the bottles at least 30 minutes before drinking. Choose glasses suitable for the respective grape varieties. Give the wine 10 minutes in the glass before you taste it. By the way, white wines can also be decanted...
