2020 Pétillant Naturel Chardonnay - Upper Mosel
Description
A PetNat (Pétillant Naturel - "naturally sparkling") made from Chardonnay and 10% other Burgundy varieties ("Mixed Set"). The base wine was bottled while still slightly fermenting after 22 (!) months of yeast storage. There he fermented the remaining sugar. This created a slight bubble. The PetNat process is the oldest form of sparkling wine production. It is therefore also called Méthode Ancestrale ("ancient method") or Méthode Rurale ("rural method"). Z

We work sustainably in the vineyard and cellar. This will need time. The youngest vintage matures in the bottle for at least 1 year - take the older ones.
Open the bottles at least 30 minutes before drinking. Choose glasses suitable for the respective grape varieties. Give the wine 10 minutes in the glass before you taste it. By the way, white wines can also be decanted...
