2021 Pinot Gris “Slate”
Description
Our very dry Pinot Gris/Grauburgunder estate wine from the Saar, from the Wiltinger Schlangengraben site (from slate soil). Light and mineral, well-structured body, aromas of pear, almond and blossom, very fine melting, round and elegant, fermented and aged in wooden barrels. 11 months on the yeast.
Tastes best with:
Perfect asparagus wine. Goes very well with vegetarian dishes with lots of vegetables. Oysters and other raw and marinated seafood. Pasta verdure. Wiener schnitzel. Poultry with light to medium seasoning.

How to have the most fun with our wines…
We work sustainably in the vineyard and cellar. That takes time. The youngest vintage matures in the bottle for at least 1 year - choose the older ones.
Open the bottles at least 30 minutes before drinking. Choose glasses suitable for the respective grape varieties. Allow the wine to sit in the glass for 10 minutes before tasting it. By the way, white wines can also be decanted...
